Is there a difference in the two? According to the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) molestation is a crime, while pedophilia is a mental disorder. Never mind the fact that 95% of abused children are molested by pedophiles. So, let’s concentrate on the 5% of children being molested because molestation is a crime. How ludicrous is that?

Trying to figure out the difference between the two in the DSM put my head in a whirl! The only reason this distinction in the DSM bothers me is the fact that is what legislators follows. The DSM is trying to “destigmatize” pedophilia. Give me a break, is that the “politically correct” thing to do with pedophiles? It’s absurd. Our political correctness has ruined our country.

Some sources states pedophilia can be treated, and sexual urges can be deterred. Another school of thought says there is no rehabilitation for pedophiles. So, who are we to believe?

In the end, it doesn’t matter because pedophiles and molesters molest children. What about the victims; what about offending them; what about ruining their lives, or losing their lives to pedophiles, but let’s not call pedophilia a crime. Why are we protecting and trying not to offend pedophiles? These creeps want to have sex with your baby!

Most abuse cases are not even reported! Pedophiles ruin lives. In some cases, so much damage is done to the victim—it would have been better had the victim died! Most pedophiles pay nothing for their atrocities. My father paid nothing for ruining my entire life with his sexual orientation. Texas even allows a judge to order surgical castration. That would probably stop the fantasies about sex with children, and they’d be rehabilitated.

I personally believe if a pedophile ruins a child’s life; if they do not even get the chance to live up to their full potential; then the pedophile should lose their life as well. If you are a victim of prolonged child sexual abuse — I think you’ll agree. And what about the stigma attached to the victims that have Dissociative Identity Disorder? Does anyone ever think why would someone have multiple personalities? Does anyone say, it’s not their fault; they were victimized?

All of the support groups, and online help groups center on the victim and how screwed up they are, and say next to nothing about the pedophile. What are our legislators thinking? Not about the helpless victims — maybe something like a bridge to nowhere is far more important. I’m mad as hell, and I don’t care who knows it.
